Our Ministries
St. Michael's has many different groups for our parishioners to join to become more involved in our parish family and community.
Teen Spirit Youth Group
TSYG is a group for high school students belonging to St. Michael's and St. John's Smithton. TSYG participates in many community service and group bonding activities.

Parish School of Religion
St. Michael's PSR is for students in grades 1-8 and meets every Sunday from 10 am - 11 am from September to April. For more information, contact Sue at the parish office.
St. Michael's Men's Club
The Men's Club host an annual euchre tournament the 3rd Saturday of February. They also host a dinner and Christmas party for the men in the Parish every year. For more information contact Frank Hart (618-473-2852)
St. Michael's CCW
St. Michael's Council of Catholic Women (CCW) hosts our annual Pumpkin Party the first Wednesday in November since 1982. CCW also purchases the wine, hosts, and any other liturgical items for the parish. They also contribute to St. Vincent de Paul Society and to Catholic Urban Program as well as local food pantries. CCW ladies also hand quilt all of the quilts for our annual Parish picnic. For more information contact Susan Halt (618-939-6603) or the parish office.
Choir
St. Michael's choir sings during the 9 am Mass on Sunday morning and is directed by Paul Quirin. We always welcome new voices for our group. For those wishing to join the choir, please contact Paul Quirin (618-920-2622).
Parish Council
Our Parish Council was established in 1992 to give directions and vision to the Parish. Today it consists of two appointed and five elected members. Meetings are the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm in the parish center except for in July, August, and December.
